DongLoc Junction

The intersection of provincial roads No. 5 and No. 15 used to be the main junction of the supply line during the war. American aircrafts heavily bombarded the area in repeated efforts to destroy the junction. The less than 20 km section of road underwent 2,057 air bombardments.

A unit of ten young female volunteers, aged 17 to 20 and led by Ms. Vo Thi Tan, was assigned to keep the road open to traffic. Despite repeated heavy bombardments, they stayed at their post, using only shovels and hoes to level

From Dakglei to KhamDuc

bomb craters. They were all tragically killed during an air attack on July 24, 1968.

A monument engraved with the names of the ten heroines was erected on a hill at the Dong Loc road junction.

 

Huong Khe

Huong Khe, Dong Loc, Khe Giao, Dia Loi, Loc Yen, Khe Ac, La Khe were main points heavily bombed by US air force during 1966 to 1971.

Khe Ve fork

Underground Khe Ve, intersection of HCM trail and road No. 12 connect east to west TruongSon mountain range.

Khe Ve, CaTang, Khe Nung were fierce bombed by US air force from 1965 to 1973.

Starting point of HCM trail from BoTrach district – QuangBinh province to LocNinh province. Built by TruongSon troop from 1969 to 1975.

XuanSon ferry was heavily bombed from 1965 to 1973. Other sites were also terribly bombarded: Bung, CuLac, floating bridge, NguyenVanTroi ferry, QuyetThang road No. 20 connect east to west TruongSon mountain range.
