We arrive Danang airport in the morning. Pick up and transfer to visit to the Cham Museum. Many of the sandstone carvings, including altars, lingas, garudas… are exquisitely detailed. Pass along China beach, 7 km of white and soft sand where American soldiers come for R&R during war time. Proceed to The Marble Mountains, 5 limestone hills carved by rainwater housing grottoes, pagodas and temples dedicated to Buddhist, Confucian and Taoists divinities. Continue to Hoi An, a riverside town 30 km south of Da Nang that was one of South East Asia’s major international ports during the 18th and 19th century. Check in hotel and dinner with Hoi An specialities. Overnight in Hoi An.
Morning walking tour of the Ancient Town, one of UNESCO World Heritage Sites. The visit includes stops at HoiAn Museum, PhucKien Communal House, Japanese Covered Bridge and an Old Vietnamese House, still inhabited by the descendants of the first settlers, and a local artist studio.
